Hi!

I was my science olympiad meeting and someone brought pop. I have no will power when it comes to carbonation. We had to use plastic cups. As first, I rebelled! How could I just give in that easily? But, as soon as I heard were we going to use the same ones every week, I felt better. Not completely better, but better. Should I really be trying to justify my plastic use to avoid my guilt? Is that okay? Oh well, it's the best I can do right now.

  1. Have you seen the SodaStream machines? You can make your own soda at home and skip a lot of the waste. www.sodastreamusa.com

But don't be to hard on yourself if you have a treat every once in awhile.

  2. I was just going to suggest the Soda Stream machine. I have a Penguin model, which comes with glass bottles instead of plastic, but it's a lot more expensive than the ones with the plastic bottles. The point is that the bottles are refillable so you're not wasting plastic. Do you think your parents would invest in one?
